Scam Alert: if you're on Facebook and get something about Gravity t-shirts for sale, it's a scam! We only have our t-shirts and other merchandise for sale at Gravity BrewWorks tasting room. Besides, they're charging way more than we ever have!

New Brews at Gravity
After a long wait, our Time of the Saison is back on tap! We wanted to try some different fruits in saison, so we've dosed several kegs with purees. These are small trial kegs, so they won't be available for to-go beers. We also revisited our Hempnotic Amber Ale and are trying different terpenes in small trial kegs, so they won't be available for to-go either - sorry!

Cider is Back!
We're in cider mode again! We're trying out new base juices and new cider yeasts, so you'll be seeing more ciders on our menu board. The current batch, Newton's Apple Cider, is a straight apple cider and fermented with - surprise! - cider yeast. The next one is made with English ale yeast.

Beer Festival Season Begins
Beer festivals are in swing!
One of our favorite events, Central Arkansas Fermenters' Little Rocktoberfest, is planned for Saturday, September 23 at War Memorial Stadium in Little Rock, from 6 pm (5 pm for VIP'ers) until 9 pm. This is an event for homebrewers and pro brewers alike, and proceeds go to a deserving charity; this year it's The Miracle League of Arkansas and Dunbar Gardens. Gravity holds a judging from CAF entrants, brews the winning beer, and showcases it at this event - this year, it's John Matejka's Italian Pilsner. Our homebrewer friends have surely been working on some awesome beers! Click on Little RocktoberFest | The Best HomeBrew Festival in Central Arkansas for more info and tickets.
Another beer festival on our calendar is ARKtoberfest, held on Saturday, Sept. 30 and hosted by Rapp's Barren in Mtn. Home. Last year was the inaugural event, and it was well attended, with the theme being Oktoberfest and Rapp's anniversary. We're looking forward to attending this year's event, which will be held on the courthouse square.
A new festival on the list is Fayetteville's Falltoberfest, planned for Sunday, October 1 from 12-6 pm. It will be held on Dickson Street in downtown Fayetteville, with music, family activities, and fun events at several establishments. We expect lots of Arkansas breweries to take part. This is still in planning stages, so keep looking for more info as this gets filled out.
The Arkansas Brewers Guild also is looking forward to a December tap takeover to be held at Point Remove Brewing in Morrilton. More info as we get it.
Mark these on your calendars and look out for more beerfests and tap takeovers!

Support your local breweries!
Here in Arkansas, the Arkansas Brewers Guild represents the state's breweries through legislation, events, fundraisers, and media. Because of COVID-19, our Guild couldn't hold the usual tap takeovers, Oktoberfest, festivals, etc. But with the most severe part (we hope) of COVID behind us, breweries are beginning to host festivals and tap takeovers again. We need your help in fundraising to keep Arkansas beer-friendly. Keep a lookout for these events - we'll try and get them on here and FB - and please help out the Arkansas Brewers Guild by attending these events if you can!

More Changes at Gravity
We've made a lot of changes at Gravity. We've done a little expanding inside, and put up a pavilion using cedar posts made from trees on the brewery property. Eventually it will be enclosed to make the tasting room bigger. We also made an addition to the brew house, and we got the garage door moved to the outside of the new space. We moved all the grain to the new grain room and made the old grain room the barrel-aging room. We also made a dock for truck deliveries. We recently added a bottling machine and a canning machine (that's it in the photo, though it's hard to see!) to our gadgetry, as well as a larger grain mill. Progress!

Gravity Beers and Whiskey Barrels
After the success of our Abbey Normal Belgian Stout and our Humble Beginnings Porter aged in Heaven Hill and Jim Beam barrels, we got more local with the barrels. Bill's been getting some homegrown barrels from Rock Town Distillery, and we've put our Kilt Me Softly Scottish Ale, Blacker 'n Ale Stout, Humble Beginnings Porter, Blacker Shade of Ale Stout, Abbey Normal Belgian Stout and Oat of Sight Oat of Mind Scottish Ale into these barrels. We like them for their size, quality, and "localness". Look for more of these barrel aged beers to come on tap.

Gravity Kegs Now Available
If you've got a kegerator, you can now get a keg - 5, 7.5, or 15.5 gallons - of Gravity beer. Since we put in the bigger system, we can supply those much-requested kegs. Of course, it's limited to the beers we have available. Customers will need to supply their own tapping equipment. Any questions, give us a call at 870-448-2077, or ask about it the next time you're at Gravity.

Hop Drop Series
The Hop Drop brews are a planned series of single-hopped beers. Each beer is an IPA, brewed with less caramel in the west coast style. We use only a single hop or proprietary hop blend in all the hop additions. This really allows you to experience all the bittering, flavor, and aromatic qualities of that particular hop. When you visit the tasting room, try the beer and give us your feedback!
So far we've tried Zythos, then Falconers Flight, both hop blends. Next came Ahtanum, then 5256, an experimental hop. Then we used 7 C's blend, Calypso, Sorachi Ace, Bravo, Mosaic, Simcoe, El Dorado, Summit, Citra, experimental 07270, Denali, Ekuanot, Azacca, Comet, Sabro, Motueka, and Polaris, a German high alpha aroma hop.

Gravity is on Facebook
At long last, we have a Facebook page...to all those folks that asked for it. Of course, we kept it simple - look us up at http://www.facebook.com/gravitybrewworks. Note that our name has no spaces; there's another site but it's not our page. So be sure you're on the right page!

Gravity is on Untappd!
We've got a page on Untappd, the social beer site. You can go online and tell everyone about our beers...or anyone else's, for that matter. Look us up at untappd.com, and say something good about us!
